You get who you pay for

Everyone wants to save money. With good intentions, they’ll track down a freelancer, a friend they consider artistic, or–ye gods–tell their intern to watch a tutorial on Microsoft Publisher and “get creative.” The results range from adequate to retina-searing.

Smart marketers don’t settle. They treat every piece of communication as a vital piece of the relationship between their brand and their customers. What a coincidence–so do we.

Psychology tells us the recency effect causes people to remember best the information they’ve seen most recently. If the last email you sent to your customers has broken links, missing images, or no visual resemblance to your brand, they’ll probably think, “Wow, these guys aren’t trying very hard.” Is it a crime? Only to the Brand Police, maybe, but the disappointment can build over time.

Collateral

This is a dull word that encompasses a wide range of materials: brochures, flyers, rack cards, sales sheets, direct mail, even print ads. In fact, some companies rely solely on collateral to get their message out. If your customers are exposed to your collateral on a regular basis, shouldn’t you ensure it all reflects the proper look, feel and tone of your brand? We can “eyeball” it based on supplied materials or your website, or we can get even more official and adhere to your brand’s style guide. And if you don’t have a style guide, we can create one for you.

Cohen Milstein law firm has earned its international reputation by winning complex cases that other firms did not want to handle. This four-page brochure is one of many we've done for the firm to attract attention to a particular cause or area of representation.

Social & Email

Here again is an area where the DIY approach rules–and can spell disaster. Brands can reap significant rewards from a strategic, thoughtfully designed campaign on Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn, among other platforms. However, social media done poorly is worse than not doing it at all. We can help you develop a single ad or post, or an entire campaign, complete with effective imagery, persuasive, search engine-friendly copy, and clear calls-to-action. And we know what many DIYers don’t: you get out of it what you put into it. That’s why we won’t use low-res images pulled straight from Google or one of the standard email templates that come with Constant Contact. Because we know what we’re doing, your customers will feel confident you know what you’re doing.

When the 2020 pandemic forced Eaton Corporation to preventatively postpone its annual partner summit, we created a package of materials to keep attendees informed. From this email, recipients would be able to click through to a revised agenda and video highlights from past events.

Events

Whether in-person or virtual, an event can be a great way to immerse your customers in your brand. You have complete control over the environment, from Zoom backgrounds to branded promotional items you hand out at your trade show booth. This is when your brand really needs to be firing on all cylinders. You have a captive audience, distractions are minimal and your message has their undivided(ish) attention. Is this the time to put your faith in Fiverr? We can provide you with an entire package: trade show booth graphics, contest ideas and materials, pull-up banners, tabletop displays, branded video loops, even event-specific collateral (ugh, that word). See how it all comes full circle?

RISE (Responsible Industry for a Sound Environment) is the national trade association engaged at the federal, state, and local levels. We've provided original materials for several of their annual events, including signage, program design and educational infographics.

Attitude affects altitude

Around here, we never look at a project as “just” a brochure or “yet another” banner ad. When you don’t devote enough time or attention to the details, it’s a sign that you don’t care. Eventually, your customers won’t either.
